All Other U.S. States: For customers outside of Utah, this hardware is fully compliant because it includes the Mango Power Smart Gateway. This gateway enables mandatory Zero Export functionality, blocking excess energy from feeding back into the public grid. Standard compliance still requires:

• Does the microinverter need an extra grounding wire? No. The microinverter case uses high-insulation composite material with electrical isolation and active monitoring, ensuring safe isolation between accessible parts and internal circuits. No extra grounding is required.
• Why does the microinverter use a plastic enclosure instead of metal? This is a design choice based on safety and durability, not cost reduction. The low-voltage single-stage architecture enables the use of a high-performance plastic enclosure that offers natural electrical insulation, corrosion resistance, and significantly reduced weight (only 1.2 kg).
• What is the difference between 120V (280W) and 240V (500W) configurations? By default, the microinverter firmware limits output to 280W when plugged into standard 120V outlets to maintain compliance with US plug-in solar safety limits. However, the hardware is fully capable of continuous 500W output. When hardwired to a 240V circuit by a licensed electrician (and upgraded via OTA kit upgrade), the unit auto-detects the 240V input and automatically switches to its full 500W power profile.
• If the grid goes down, will the microinverters keep pushing power? No. The Mango Power S Pro includes certified anti-islanding protection. If the grid loses power—whether due to a tripped breaker or a utility outage—the inverter immediately stops exporting power to protect utility workers. It will only resume operation once grid stability is restored and synchronized.
• Do I need to buy a separate smart meter to monitor my home's energy? No. This specific bundle includes the 200A Zero-Export Gateway.
